Newly promoted a-bot-team moved into second place after hammering THE WHITE SILENCE 4-1.
a-bot-team – THE WHITE SILENCE 4-1
abt eased past THE WHITE SILENCE at Nobodys Stadium this evening thanks to a superb first half performance which saw them go into the break 3-0 up.
abt got off to a great start when Alan Gold-Spink fired home to open the scoring after only three minutes.
After a thirty-eighth minute Scott Hardiman goal the players could sense victory and six minutes from the break it was 3-0 as Goatsemodime Magolego knocked the ball under the advancing keeper.
Although the visitors pulled a goal back in the second half, there was never any danger of a sustained fightback. Malcolm Warren scored four minutes later to give them that three goal lead as abt moved one point clear of the visitors.
“We’ve perhaps played better in other matches, but this was an important win for us”, said Warren at full-time.
“We’ve now have a one point gap between ourselves and the third and fourth placed sides which means we can´t concentrate on chasing the leaders without having to look back over our shoulders”, he added.
Two goals in the first-half, Calvin Tonge and Robert Moon, and three in the second-half, John Ryan, Lyle MacDonald and Calvin Tonges second of the day, secured second place for a-bot-youth-team.
The team is in a six point sandwich, three points behind league leaders, atletico sbarrti, and three points in front of third placed Little Knights.
a-bot-team reserves are off to Algeria, still looking to complete their flag collection despite no longer being a Hattrick-Suppoter.
