Broadwood FC – a-bot-team 2-1
a-bot-team’s eight game unbeaten run came to a shuddering halt yesterday as the side went down by two goals to one in Wiltshire.
Dario Pineschi opened the scoring in the twenty-ninth minute, and Alastair Draughn thirty-first minute strike saw the home sides go into the break two up, despite a second half goal from Luka Burns, Broadwood FC ensured that the points would be staying in the south-west.
“We’re all really disappointed”, admitted Woodhall at the post-match press conference. “We didn’t take the chances when they arose, and we’ve paid the price”.
The defeat sees us still in second place, but a win for Unionist AFC meant that we are only two points ahead of then.
“We have two home games left, third placed Unionist AFC next weekend and Hull Huskies. A win for us on Sunday would secure second place, but defeat would throw us back one position”.
He continued, “There’s absolutely no margin for error and we’ll be going all-out to secure current position”.
